Aston Villa fans have reacted on Twitter after spotting Trezeguet in Steven Gerrard’s first training session.
On Monday, Villa’s official Twitter account posted footage of the players training under Gerrard and his coaching staff for the first time.
And a familiar face popped up for the Villa faithful in their previously injured winger in Trezeguet.
The 27-year-old hasn’t played at all this season after injuring his knee against Liverpool towards the back end of last season.
There were no signs or suggestions from the club, or previously Dean Smith, that Trezeguet was back training with his teammates.
But it seems as though he is which delighted the Villa Park faithful.
It will be interesting to see how far he is off and whether he will make Villa’s matchday squad during these coming weeks.
A busy festive period awaits Gerrard and he will need to use the Villa squad if he is to get through it with a number of positive results.
The wide areas are stacked with players from Trezeguet himself, Anwar El Ghazi and Bertrand Traore.
Then there are the new summer signings Leon Bailey and Emiliano Buendia.
