Mino Raiola is trying to secure a big summer move for AZ Alkmaar goal-machine Myron Boadu, amid speculation linking the Holland international with a move to Newcastle United, according to SportMediaset.
If Steve Bruce’s Magpies are crying out for a number nine who makes finishing look like second nature, then who better than an Amsterdam-born 19-year-old who has made great strides towards super-stardom over the last 10 months?
With 20 goals and 13 assists, Boadu was the driving force behind AZ Alkmaar’s Eredivisie title-charge. He was the kingpin in a fearsome front three alongside Oussama Idrissi and Calvin Stengs before the Dutch football season was brought to a premature conclusion, cruelly denying Arne Slot’s side the chance to snatch Ajax’s crown.
But has Boadu already played his final game in AZ colours?
This natural-born poacher is a £17.5 million target for Newcastle, according to 90Min. And agent Raiola obviously feels that one of his most promising clients has already outgrown the relatively small pond that is Dutch football.

According to reports in Italy, Raiola is offering Boadu to some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including AC Milan.
And, while Newcastle fans might not look too kindly on the prospect of getting into business with a man who goes hand-in-hand with controversy, the fact that Raiola was so keen to work with a teenage Boadu speaks volumes about his potential.
After all, Raiola is a man who only allows pedigree thoroughbreds into his stable.
