The pundit seems to defend the winger, who cost Celtic £6.5 million (Sky Sports) in transfer fees when they signed him from Benfica.
John Hartson on Jota from Celtic to Al Ittihad rumour

Desire to move understandable
We do not blame Jota at all for looking to leave Celtic for Al Ittihad.
According to The Daily Mail, the winger earns £28,000 per week as salary at the Hoops.
The Portuguese is going to be on much higher salary in Saudi Arabia.
So, we understand why he would love to move to Al Ittihad in the summer transfer window.
After all, football is a job for Jota – a career that lasts for a limited period of time.
And who are we to tell the winger what he should and should not do with his career?
If Jota is happy playing in Saudi Arabia and earning lots of money, then so be it.
