Min Woo Lee is set to take part in the first event of the 2026 DP World Tour season, teeing it up at the Australian PGA Championship.

He’ll be joined by Adam Scott, Marc Leishman, and Cameron Smith at Royal Queensland Golf Club, making for a strong homegrown lineup.

Lee will be aiming to claim this title for a second time, having already lifted the trophy in Brisbane two years ago.

The 27-year-old hasn’t been in the best form recently but has made some tweaks to his game that he hopes will turn things around.

Min Woo Lee is known for his power off the tee, averaging 313.9 yards per drive this season. He’s solid around the greens and reliable with the putter, but his approach play has often been a weak spot.

This year, he ranked 166th in strokes gained: approach on the PGA Tour, dropping 0.430 shots per round compared to the field average.

Lee spoke to Australian Golf Digest about adjustments he’s made recently to address issues with his iron play:

“So, pretty much how I hit it long is, I use my ground forces really well, snap my head back, and get speed off that,” he told Australian Golf Digest. “But when I go into the approach [iron play], I don’t really want to do that.”

“I want to be as accurate as I can; you see the best players in the world stack over their left side through impact, and my swing through impact, my left hip was going backwards and back-right, so then my hands were getting too far forward, and I was getting a lot of shaft lean.

“So now I’m trying to stack over onto my left side and get better with that so then I can shallow the club properly.”

Min Woo Lee plans to slim down ahead of the 2026 season

Along with changes to his swing, Min Woo Lee has also been working on his physique over the past few months.

He shared that he’s planning to drop some weight after putting on about seven or eight kilograms of muscle during his recent training efforts.

“Just being stronger, I’ve gained a lot of kilos. I’m feeling good,” he said. “The shirt has become a little tight, not just the top, but the bottom [shorts]. I did the bulk pretty good, but now I probably have to cut.”

The added strength was part of his effort to support the adjustments he’s made to his swing. It won’t be long before we see how those changes translate on course when he gets started on Thursday.
