Jimmy Abdou has left Millwall.

Popular midfielder Jimmy Abdou has left Millwall after 10 years at the club.
Abdou signed with French side Martigues after his contract ran down.
Abdou spent last season out on loan at AFC Wimbledon after falling down the pecking order at Millwall.
He joined the club in 2008 from Plymouth and quickly became a regular, playing 43 times in his first season.

Abdou went on to play more than 340 games for the club, helping them win promotion from League One on two separate occasions.
His departure is the end of an era, but at 33 the time was right as he was no longer able to command a place in the club’s first team.

The Comoros international won the clubs’ player of the year award six years ago, and he will be fondly remembered by fans.
