Millwall have reached the FA Cup quarter-finals after victory over AFC Wimbledon.

Neil Harris, manager of Millwall looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Millwall and Wolverhampton at The Den on December 26, 2017 in London, England.

Millwall boss Neil Harris has told reporters how he would like a home tie Crystal Palace in the FA Cup quarter-finals while admitting he would like to avoid Manchester City, South London Press and Mercury report.

“Be at home. No disrespect to Donny but if Palace get through tomorrow I’d love to play Palace at The Den. I want to avoid Man City if we can, no disrespect to Newport – don’t take that out of context,” he explained.

“But to be at The Den – 20,000 of our fans to get the opportunity to see another FA Cup quarter final. I’d love to see that.”

Millwall booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals following a slender victory over AFC Wimbledon.

The Lions have already played Premier League opposition in the cup this season, knocking out Everton in the third round following a pulsating and somewhat controversial 3-2 victory at The Den.

Millwall have struggled in the Championship this season, therefore the FA Cup offers supporters something to cheer about and a fixture at The Den in an intimidating atmosphere would be a tough place to go for any side.

Neil Harris manager of Millwall looks on prior to the Carabao Cup Second Round match between Millwall and Plymouth Argyle at The Den on August 29, 2018 in London, England.

Brighton and Hove Albion, Watford, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester City are fellow top-flight sides who have booked their place in the quarter-finals, but in terms of rivalry, Palace could be a dream fixture for Millwall.

The Eagles beat Doncaster Rovers 2-0 in Sunday’s later fixture with many expecting Roy Hodgson’s side to overcome the League One opposition and book their place in the last eight.

Both Millwall and Palace have reached an FA Cup final in the past 15 years, but both came up short against Manchester United.
