Emmanuel Frimpong has predicted on Twitter that Arsenal star Bukayo Saka will miss out on an England place to Chelsea ace Mason Mount.

The former Arsenal midfielder was impressed by the performance of Saka during the Gunners’ 3-2 win against Benfica in the home leg of their Europa League Round of 32 tie on Thursday evening.

Saka provided two assists, as the Gunners booked their place in the Round of 16 4-3 on aggregate.

Frimpong believes that England head coach Gareth Southgate will snub Saka for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount for a place in the Three Lions’ squad for the European Championship in the summer of 2021.

Don Hutchison was also impressed by winger Saka last night, and the former Liverpool midfielder – who now works as a pundit for Premier League Productions – believes that the 19-year-old – who can also operate as a left-back – is the best player at Arsenal.

Bukayo Saka or Mason Mount?

According to WhoScored, Saka has played 11 games as a right attacking midfielder, while Mount has operated was a central midfielder 15 times and 10 times as a central attacking midfielder so far this season.

Both the 19-year-old and the 22-year-old can be part of the England squad in the summer if Southgate wants them.
