Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Toffees confirmed that Moise Kean had joined Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan.

The Italy international has scored twice in just four appearances for the Merseysiders this season, netting against Salford and Fleetwood in Carabao Cup action.

Kean only joined Everton last summer in a deal initially worth £25.1 million from Juventus.

However, after only six Premier League starts in his debut campaign, he has been shipped off to the Champions League finalists.

This seems a particularly strange one from Marcel Brands.

Given PSG’s vast attacking talent in Neymar Jr, Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi, it seems difficult to predict much game time for Kean.

Match action is something he desperately needs, given his young age and lack of development time in his first term at Goodison Park.

Additionally, Kean’s exit leaves Carlo Ancelotti without a recognised back-up at centre-forward.

Everton’s possible options to deputise for Dominic Calvert-Lewin are Theo Walcott – who has been told he can leave according to TEAMtalk – and Sandro Ramirez.

According to The Sun on Sunday (20/9; page 57), Everton want to cancel the Spaniard’s contract.

As you can tell, Ancelotti doesn’t seem to rate Kean’s potential deputies if these reports are accurate.

Let’s see what the Everton fans have been saying about Kean’s exit…
