Jamie O’Hara posted on his Instagram story that Chelsea’s home stadium is ‘miles off’ Tottenham’s.
The former Spurs midfielder was doing punditry work on Saturday for Chelsea’s 3-2 win against Leeds.
Before the game, he posted on his IG story a picture of him standing on the Stamford Bridge turf.
Tottenham fans will love the caption he posted with it because he stated: “Stamford Bridge got nothing on Spurs. Miles off it.”
Tottenham spent over £1 billion on their recently-built stadium, according to Forbes, so they should be in a situation where they have one of the best, if not the best stadiums in the world.
A number of Premier League clubs have gone down the route of moving into new homes or looking to do that during the next few years.
Arsenal moved into the Emirates in 2006 after leaving Highbury – and they probably regret that now given their struggles and decline during that period.
Whilst West Ham left their iconic home at the Boleyn and moved into the already-built London Stadium that was used for the 2012 Olympics.
Things are rosy in the garden for the Hammers now, but it has been a struggle for the club for large parts of their time in that stadium and the fans having a lack of connection with the stadium.
But those two aren’t the only London sides in new homes because Brentford left Griffin Park upon their promotion to the Premier League.
Chelsea are planning to go down the same route in the coming years, as are Everton over on Merseyside.
