Troy Deeney has said on Ben Foster’s YouTube channel that Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is much better now than he was last season.
The Birmingham City striker made the comments about Xhaka while looking back on Arsenal’s win against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Switzerland international played his role in the middle of the park for the Gunners against Jurgen Klopp’s side, just as he has done so far this season.
Troy Deeney on Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka
Deeney said about Xhaka: “You can see the way that Xhaka has come into his own now. This player this year to last year is miles better, isn’t he?”

Star player
In our view, Granit Xhaka has been superb for Arsenal so far this season and has become a key figure in the team.
The Swiss is more mature now and is not taking unnecessary risks with his play.
We know that Xhaka can get unnecessary yellow and red cards, but things seem to have changed now.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta appears to have convinced Xhaka to be more careful in his tackles and challenges.
Arteta is also playing Xhaka a bit advanced in midfield and is allowing him to drive the team forward.
Xhaka is flourishing in his new role, and Arsenal are better for it.
