Henri Lansbury is preparing for his first full season since arriving at Aston Villa.
Mile Jedinak has told Aston Villa’s official website that Henri Lansbury’s incredible will to win has a major impact on the rest of the squad, and backed the 26-year-old to be a key player for Steve Bruce’s men during the upcoming campaign.
Lansbury is preparing for his first full season with Villans, having joined from Nottingham Forest during the January transfer window.
Aston Villa’s Henri Lansbury
Villa fans may have been forgiven for expecting quite a lot from the midfielder following his arrival, with Lansbury scoring six goals and contributing three assists from 17 league appearances for Forest, but unfortunately, he seemed to often struggle after making the move.
But Jedinak is certain that Lansbury has the attributes to make sure that he succeeds during his time with the Villans, and his mentality has had a positive effect on his teammates.
“On the field, he has a fierce will to win. He hates losing. That transmits to the other guys in the dressing room.”
“Now we’re all geared up towards pre-season and I think Henri will be a big player for us,” he went on to add.

Based on their form during the first-half of last season, it seemed that Villa had put together one of the most impressive central midfield partnerships in the entire division, signing Conor Hourihane during the same window that Lansbury arrived.
And while their partnership did not quite blossom last season, Bruce will be hoping that the pair enjoying a full pre-season together will make a massive difference.
Jedinak, for one, appears to be confident that it will.
