Mile Jedinak has played an important role at Aston Villa since Steve Bruce took charge.
Mile Jedinak has told yahoo.com that he is glad he swapped Crystal Palace for Aston Villa last summer.
Jedinak took a step down to the Championship to join Villa, but he is not concerned about dropping down the levels.
The Australian international has actually been shocked at the size of Villa as a football club, and he feels that he is beginning to get back to his best.

“It’s been a nice change,” Jedinak said. ”It’s been probably a welcome change just knowing the magnitude of how big Villa is as a football club.
“Getting used to what we’re trying to do there and how we’re trying to do things was relative to the team – a little bit slow at the start.
“But of late it’s picked up, I’ve given more responsibility and I’m thriving in that environment.”
Jedinak’s initial performances for Villa were heavily criticised, with the midfielder failing to offer much protection to the claret and blues’ defence.

However, since Steve Bruce has been appointed, Jedinak has performed to a much higher level.
The 32-year-old now seems to have an important role in Villa’s side, as he brings defensive discipline to a team which is loaded with attacking players.
Villa are still unbeaten since Bruce took charge, and they have started to move up the Championship table.
Villa are now in 14th place, and they are only five points back from the play off spaces.
