The trio all play for Australia together and Villa have been linked with the pair.

Aston Villa have recently been linked with moves for two of the Championship’s best performing midfielders from last season. Aaron Mooy helped Huddersfield Town to promotion during a loan spell from Manchester City. Jackson Irvine proved a shrewd recruit by Burton Albion, the former Ross County star scoring 10 goals as the Brewers fought off relegation back to League One.
Aston Villa have been linked with both names in recent weeks, and one man that knows the pair well is current Villa midfielder Mile Jedinak.

All three of them are Australian and are currently in the Socceroos national squad set-up. Speaking to FourFourTwo Australia this week the Villa star made it clear that he was a big fan of the pair, although was not drawn on the subject of playing with them at club level:
Burton’s Jackson Irvine celebrates scoring their first goal
“I’ve played against them first hand and have followed them a little bit closer.
“That’s all great, but it’s not until you get into camp you see the enthusiasm and the qualities and how we’re going to use that to our advantage.
“Working with them day-in day-out is when you start to get very excited.”

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce will be looking to add more improvements to his squad after they fell desperately short of a promotion fight in the Championship last term.
Both Australian talents have now proven themselves at this level and Villa would love to add them to Jedinak in their midfield arsenal.
