AC Milan are targeting a move for Diego Costa from Chelsea in a deal that would perhaps grab Celtic’s attention.
AC Milan are in talks to sign Chelsea’s Diego Costa
According to Sky Sports, AC Milan are interested in Diego Costa and are actually in talks with Chelsea about a possible deal for their striker.
And given recent reports involving the two clubs, it is perhaps fair to say that Celtic will have a keen eye on what happens with Costa as it may have consequences for the Hoops.
Both Milan and Chelsea are interested in Celtic’s Moussa Dembele
The Daily Record recently suggested that Milan were interested in signing Bhoys striker Moussa Dembele this summer, and had requested a second meeting with his representatives in the hope of building a relationship with the Scottish Premiership champions that would boost their chances of completing a deal when the former Fulham man does become available.
However, you would imagine if the Rossoneri went out and agreed a deal for Costa, that would surely see them cool their interest in Dembele for this window.
The Record suggested that Chelsea were more likely to make a concrete bid for Dembele than Milan, and the likelihood of a bid will surely increase if Costa leaves
But perhaps a deal for Costa would prove even more problematic for the Hoops.
The Record suggested that Milan were not expecting to be able to land Dembele at this current stage, and it was actually Chelsea who were more likely to make a concrete bid for the striker who they are also interested in signing.
Should Costa make the switch to San Siro, it may perhaps be fair to assume that it would leave the Premier League champions more determined to make a move for Dembele.
