AC Milan may be willing to concede defeat in the battle to sign Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira and seem focussed on Liverpool’s Suso.
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has confessed that German international Sami Khedira may be beyond the club’s budget, but Suso remains a major target.
It had been suggested that Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti could persuade Khedira to join his former side Milan, but the financial aspect of a deal seems unworkable.
With reports that Manchester United are ready to table a bumper offer with Arsenal and Chelsea also in the frame, Milan may have to gracefully back off.
However, one target that seems more realistic is Liverpool man Suso, who is currently recovering from a groin operation.
Suso is out of contract next June and has indicated that he wants more playing time, which Liverpool are unlikely to offer him.
According to reports in Italy, Milan see Suso as a key addition for January when they will lose star man Keisuke Honda to the AFC Asian Cup.
