AC Milan are set to meet with the representative of Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt on Tuesday to discuss a return to the club.

Adel Taarabt could be moving towards AC Milan again if a meeting between the Italian club’s vice-president and the player’s agent goes well.

The enigmatic Moroccan was a surprise loan swoop for Milan back in January but he proved his doubters wrong with some impressive performances in Serie A.

By the time the summer arrived, Taarabt had become popular with the fans and appeared likely to make the switch permanent.

However, QPR’s initial valuation, said to be around £7 million, prevented Milan making a move before the World Cup, and their transfer priorities seem to have changed.

It has also been suggested that new coach Pippo Inzaghi isn’t a fan of Taarabt.

But a move may be back on with reports from Sky Italia that Milan director Adriano Galliani will meet with Taarabt’s representative Kia Joorabchian on Tuesday.

Taarabt is said to be determined to secure a move, but Milan and QPR seem some distance from agreeing a deal.

The latest estimate is that Milan are trying to broker a deal that involves a payment of just £3 million plus a sell-on clause.
