Celtic signed the two players last weekend.

Mikey Johnston has told Celtic TV that new team-mates Luca Connell and Christopher Jullien are looking the part in training so far.

The duo have joined up with Celtic in Switzerland after signing for Neil Lennon’s side last weekend.

Jullien, a £7 million signing, is a centre-back who has signed from Toulouse, while the Hoops nabbed 18-year-old Connell from Bolton Wanderers.

Tuesday was their first day training under Lennon, and Johnston says that the pair are looking very decent so far.

He told Celtic TV: “They’ve been looking really good and looking sharp. That was their first session today [Tuesday] and I was impressed.”

The Bhoys were held to a goalless draw by St Gallen in last night’s friendly, but neither of the two were involved.

Jullien is the one who’s far more likely to be a big player for Celtic this season than Connell; not because he’s 18, but because he’s a midfielder and Lennon has a gazillion of them.

But he doesn’t have the same strength-in-depth over centre-half options, and the 26-year-old Frenchman is likely to partner Kristoffer Ajer during the upcoming season.
