Stephen Craigan has praised Celtic winger Mikey Johnston on BT Sport 1 (5:16pm, October 19, 2021) for his goal against Ferencvaros.
Johnston was in action for Celtic in their Europa League Group G game against Ferencvaros at Celtic Park this afternoon.
The 22-year-old winger did not start the match, but the Scottish youngster came on as a substitute for Kyogo Furuhashi in the 86th minute.
Former Motherwell defender Craigan was on co-commentary duty for the match for BT Sports, and he was impressed by the substitute.
Craigan said about Johnston on BT Sport 1 (5:16pm, October 19, 2021): “He has been electric. He really has.
“He is hungry, he knows he is trying to make up for lost time, he is just gliding past players, cutting inside, really encouraging stuff this afternoon from Mikey Johnston.”

How did Mikey Johnston play?
Johnston has had injury problems, and the winger has not played regularly.
However, the 22-year-old winger showed in his cameo performance today what he is capable of.
The Scottish youngster was quick with the ball, went past players, and was a threat to the opposition defence.
Johnston took one shot and it was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 88.9%, took 13 touches, and attempted two drones.
So far this season, the Celtic no. 19 has played 26 minutes in the Scottish Premiership and has made one substitute appearance in the Europa League.
