Mikel Arteta has disclosed what he told his Arsenal players at half time about Leeds United, as quoted in The Yorkshire Evening Post.
Arsenal got the better of Leeds 4-2 at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
The Gunners were 3-0 up at half time and went 4-0 ahead in the opening minutes of the second half.
Although Leeds scored twice thereafter and tried to launch a successful comeback, Arsenal were simply too good in the end.
Arsenal manager Arteta has raved about Leeds and has disclosed what he told his players at half time.
The Yorkshire Evening Post quotes Arteta as saying: “I try to do the best I can, they are a fantastic team, they put you under a lot of trouble and everyone knows their roles. They are very man orientated and we did really well for a long period. Credit to them, to maintain the level of belief at 4-0 is remarkable.
“At half-time I told them they are a team that can bounce back. They’re not going to stop and they still believe in that aggression and that they can come here and beat us. That is Leeds and what their manager inspires them. It became a little bit of madness.”

Meanwhile, former Liverpool striker John Aldridge has raved about Leeds on Twitter after watching them in action against Arsenal.
Aldridge has said that he does not enjoying watching games of teams other than his former clubs, but he was very impressed by the show put on by Marcelo Bielsa’s side at the Emirates Stadium.
Although Arsenal won 4-2 against Leeds, the Whites did not make it easy for the home team and were searching for a way to score goals until the final minute.
