Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has told Football.London that Alexandre Lacazette is happy at the club.
Arteta has raved about the 29-year-old France international forward, and said that he has told him that he wants to stay at the Gunners.
According to ESPN, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Lacazette this summer (click here to read more), while The Daily Star reported last month that the Gunners were willing to sell him (click here to read more).
Arteta has said that he has spoken to the former Lyon star, and has disclosed that the forward has said that he wants to stay at Arsenal.
Arteta told Football.London about Lacazette: “He is really happy here, he wants to keep improving and contributing to the team. I know how good he is, the impact he is having.
“He knows about the competition he has with the front players, and again he needs to demand of himself to be the best striker at this football club, the same as the rest.
“He was very happy to hear that and the way he has been training and conducting himself has been excellent.”
When asked if Lacazette has told him that he would like to stay, the Arsenal boss said: “Yes, I think he is very happy here. That is my feeling and what I got from that message.”

Arsenal stay
Lacazette is a very good forward who has done well during his time at Arsenal so far.
With the Gunners aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, the North London outfit need experienced and prolific players such as the Frenchman.
According to WhoScored, the 29-year-old scored 10 goals in the Premier League last season, and scored 13 goals in the league in 2018-19.
