Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has raved about Bukayo Saka, as quoted in Football.London.

Arteta has said that the 19-year-old – who can operate as a winger or as a left-back – is pushing for a start all the time and has praised his attitude in training.

The Arsenal boss has hailed the youngster for being called up to the England squad for their games this month.

Arteta told Football.London about Saka: ”Bukayo is always pushing. Pushing in every training [session], pushing every game, he’s pushing the way he conducts himself.

“First of all I am delighted for him, I think he completely deserves the chance to represent his country. He just needs to keep doing what he’s doing and he will keep evolving.”

Stats

According to WhoScored, Saka has played 89 minutes in the Premier League and has turned out in two Carabao Cup ties for Arsenal so far this season.

During the 2019-20 campaign, the 19-year-old made 19 starts and seven substitute appearances in the league for the Gunners, scoring one goal and providing five assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

The English youngster also scored two goals and provided five assists in six Europa League games for the North London outfit last season, according to WhoScored.

Progressing

Saka is still a very raw talent, and it is clear that he needs to improve and continue to develop.

What is clear is that the teenager is very talented and has a lot of potential, and under Arteta he will progress and continued to add facets to his game.
