Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given his take on Tottenham Hotspur reportedly about to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, as quoted on Football.London.

According to Sky Sports, Bale has arrived in London, as the Madrid winger looks set to join Tottenham from the Spanish and European giants on a loan deal.

The report has added that the Wales international winger passed a medical on Thursday, and that the 31-year-old will cost Spurs £20 million in wages and loan fee.

Arsenal manager Arteta has said that it is great for the Premier League that Bale is coming back.

The Welshman joined Madrid from Tottenham in the summer of 2013, and won La Liga twice and the Champions League four times with Los Blancos.

Arteta told Football.London about Bale to Tottenham: “The Premier League always has the best players in the world. Gareth is one of the most significant players.

“I think it’s always positive to bring the best players back. The competition from every club is making this league harder and harder.”

Big signing for Tottenham Hotspur

It seems that Bale will join Tottenham on a loan deal, and the Welshman would be a brilliant signing for the North London club.

The Welsh winger has had injury problems and has not played much football in recent months, but he remains one of the best players in the world when he is on form, and he would make Tottenham a better and more potent team in attack.
