Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta shared his admiration of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane on the club’s official website while discussing Gabriel Jesus.
Arteta has pointed at Tottenham striker Kane and Manchester City summer signing Erling Haaland while discussing a traditional number 9.
Arsenal signed Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
Jesus can play down the middle or out wide.
Arteta made the comments following Arsenal’s win against Everton in a pre-season friendly in Baltimore.
Mikel Arteta comments on Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane
When asked if Arsenal need a traditional no. 9, Arteta said, as quoted on the club’s official website: “It depends, look at Harry Kane, look at Haaland.

“I think at the moment there are certain strikers that are available, they grow, they have their moments in European football.
“It depends on the qualities, another one with completely different qualities scores 45 goals every season. So it’s what is available and what the team needs.”
Admiration
Now, Mikel Arteta need not have mentioned Harry Kane or Erling Haaland while discussing Jesus and the role of strikers, but that the Arsenal manager mentioned them shows that he rates them highly and likes their attributes.
Kane is one of the best strikers on the planet, and the £200,000-a-week (SalarySport) Tottenham star could end up as the top scorer in the Premier League of all time.
The England international striker has scored 183 goals in 282 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
Despite not starting last season strongly, Kane ended up with 17 goals and nine assists in the Premier League.
