Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has hailed Liverpool trio Alisson, Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho as some of the best players in the world in the Daily Star.
Arsenal are due to take on Liverpool this evening, and Arteta is under no illusions over how difficult a task his side face.
Liverpool have already wrapped up the Premier League title this season, and Arteta believes that some very smart transfer dealings have helped them be so successful.
“They were conceding goals, with some individual errors and some set pieces as well,” he started.
“The moment they touched the spine of the team that changes dramatically. So that is a quick fix.
“You get one of the best defenders in the world with the best goalkeeper in the world with one of the best holding midfielders in the world and you change it pretty quickly.”
Fabinho is arguably the Liverpool player out of the trio who is the most unheralded.
The Brazilian does not often steal the headlines for Liverpool, but his presence in their midfield cannot be underestimated.

Van Dijk and Alisson, meanwhile, are often touted as the best players in their positions in the Premier League.
It seems likely that Jurgen Klopp will place all of the trio in his starting line-up this evening.
Liverpool may have wrapped up the league title, but are now aiming to break past the 100 point barrier.
