Mikel Arteta sat down in front of the media today ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday night.
The Spaniard was asked about a range of topics, from Alexandre Lacazette’s contract to Bukayo Saka’s fitness.
Arteta was also quizzed on Sergio Agüero, after it was announced that the striker would leave Manchester City at the end of the season.
When asked if Arsenal would sign the 97-cap Argentina international, the 39-year-old said: “We will see what happens.”
If the Gunners did pull this off, it would be an incredible signing, in our view.

The 32-year-old is arguably one of the greatest Premier League forwards of all time, having scored 181 Premier League goals in 271 games.
In total, he netted an astonishing 257 goals in 384 games for Manchester City.
Admittedly, he isn’t as quick as he used to be, while he’s also struggled with injury problems this term that have limited him to just 14 appearances.

However, Agüero plays the game with his brain, and has a pure striker’s instinct which helps him get into fantastic goalscoring positions.
With Saka and Emile Smith Rowe feeding the former Atlético Madrid man, he could score bundles of goals in north London.
On a free transfer, Arteta could do worse things this summer than hand the South American icon a one-year contract.
