Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has told Football.London that improving the club’s creativity has been difficult with so many games to play.
The Gunners lost again on Sunday night, as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Wolverhampton Wanderers in another dismal home showing.
Gabriel Magalhaes cancelled out Pedro Neto’s opener, but Daniel Podence sealed a huge win for the visitors whilst condemning Arsenal to a third home defeat in a row.
Gabriel’s goal was just Arsenal’s second in their last six Premier League games, and Arteta is struggling to find an answer to their attacking woes.
Whether it’s a 3-4-3 or a 4-3-3, Arsenal just can’t seem to unlock defences at the moment, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is looking ineffectual.
The decision to leave Mesut Ozil out of the squad looks a bad one now, with Arsenal severely lacking any sort of guile or creativity – and Arteta has now detailed a problem.
Arteta suggested that Arsenal are lacking time to work on creating chances on the training ground because they’re playing every few days, juggling the Premier League with Europa League commitments.

The Spaniard called the situation ‘very difficult’, as he seemingly has to prioritise match preparation over specifically creating chances – though whether Arsenal fans will buy that reasoning remains to be seen.
“Well when we can train that means that we have time,” said Arteta. “We are playing every three days which makes it very difficult to do that. Just try to improve the situation. More than the situation whether we create it or not is the final product that we deliver when we are in this situation.”
“The amount of times that we hit the target with the situations that we create which is not enough. But it’s down to me to find this solution, to put the right players in the right position and do it better,” he added.
