Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has praised Bernd Leno in The Mirror for the way he has reacted to being dropped for Aaron Ramsdale.
Leno started the season as the first-choice goalkeeper for Arsenal, but Ramsdale soon took his place.
The England international goalkeeper has had injury problems in recent times, and Leno is back in the team.
The Germany international is likely to start for Arsenal against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Mikel Arteta on Arsenal’s Bernd Leno
Arteta said about Leno: “He’s done a very similar thing to Cedric and Nico. Not accepting the situation but trying to improve it.
“He’s also been consistent in the way he trained and the way he behaved in those months, waiting for the opportunity and, when he had it, taking it.”

Summer exit likely
In our opinion, it is likely that Leno will leave Arsenal at the end of the season.
We do not think that the German will spend another season on the bench at the Emirates Stadium.
There is no point really.
Leno is good enough to be the number one goalkeeper for another team.
The Daily Star have reported that Arsenal are ready to sell Leno for £5-10 million.
Now, that transfer fee does seem low for a player as experienced as Leno, but we think that it would be the right thing to do.
Ramsdale is a brilliant goalkeeper who can get even better, and Arsenal are a better team with him in it.
