Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that the Arsenal hierarchy trust Gunners’ boss Mikel Arteta a lot, as quoted in Complete Sports.
Guardiola has pointed out that Arsenal have spent quite a lot money in the summer transfer window.
This, according to the former Barcelona boss, means that the Arsenal chiefs trust Arteta a lot and are not planning to sack him.
As reported by The Mirror, Arsenal have spent £140 million on new players this summer so far.
What Pep Guardiola has said
Complete Sports quotes Guardiola as saying: “Two games. We have played two games, not 20 or 50.
“Sometimes I think managers are crazy to do the job. They trust Mikel a lot because they spend money to reinforce the team.”
Mikel Arteta rumour
There has been suggestions that Arteta could lose his job if results do not improve soon.
Arsenal have lost their opening two Premier League games this season, but they did win against West Bromwich Albion in the EFL Cup in midweek.

The Telegraph reported earlier this week that Arteta has five games to save his job.
That was before the match against West Brom, which the Gunners won 6-0.
Antonio Conte is reportedly a candidate for the Arsenal managerial role if Arteta leaves.
Unlikely Mikel Arteta exit
Arsenal will face City in the Premier League this weekend.
You should not be surprised if the Gunners lose.

After all, City have one of the strongest squads in the Premier League and are far superior to the Gunners.
Arsenal chiefs will have known that winning or even drawing against Chelsea and City is/was tough.
Yes, the defeat to Brentford was disappointing and the performance could have been better, but remember, Arsenal had coronavirus problems for that particular game.
