Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has told Football.London that Gabriel Martinelli makes it hard for him to keep him out of the team.
Arteta has said that Arsenal forward Martinelli deserves more playing time than he gets.
The Arsenal manager made the comments about the 20-year-old forward after his goal against Newcastle United at the weekend.
Martinelli came on as a substitute to score Arsenal’s second goal in the 2-0 win at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
What Arteta has said about Martinelli
Arteta told Football.London about Martinelli: “It is a big moment for him. I’m especially happy for him because the way he behaves.
“Some players are respectful when you make some decisions, some players are very respectful like he is. He makes every decision you make even harder because he deserves more.”

Tough for Arsenal youngster
Martinelli has had injury problems at Arsenal, and is also facing stiff competition for places.
After all, there are so many attacking players that Arteta can accommodate in his lineup.
Also, Martinelli is just 20.
And he has played only 34 matches in the Premier League so far in his career.
It must be really tough for the young Brazilian not to feature for Arteta’s Arsenal on a regular basis.
However, in our view, Martinelli should stay positive and must take the chances when he gets them.
Like he did against Newcastle.
It is clear to us from the way that Arteta speaks about Martinell that the Arsenal manager rates him very highly.
