Mike Vrabel has brushed aside uniform-based Super Bowl narratives as New England prepare for the season’s biggest stage.

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel was asked about the team’s decision to wear white jerseys for Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks.

The question followed a reporter pointing out that the Patriots are 5-0 when wearing their white uniform. Vrabel’s response made clear how little emphasis he is placing on superstition ahead of the game.

Mike Vrabel dismisses Patriots uniform record

The New England Patriots confirmed they will wear white jerseys and pants for Super Bowl LX as the designated home team.

The choice has drawn attention because of the team’s unbeaten record this season when wearing that uniform combination.

“We had to pick blue or white, and we went with white. I guess the blue would have been a good idea. As long as we’ve got a uniform on…”

“I went through this with the uniform police in Tennessee. I try not to get too involved with it. We’re the home team. We get to choose. Guys like the white uniforms.”

When that 5-0 record was raised by reporters, Vrabel responded immediately and rejected the idea that it carried any significance.

“There we go. I hope the tooth fairy comes tonight, too. We’ll be real excited.”

Focus remains on preparation, not superstition

The comment was delivered to underline that superstition is not influencing the Patriots’ preparation or expectations.

Vrabel has indicated that uniform selection was a procedural decision rather than a competitive one. He said the choice came down to white or blue, with player preference helping guide the decision.

With Super Bowl LX approaching, Vrabel’s comments reinforced that preparation and execution remain the priority for New England.

For the New England Patriots, they have an opportunity to win their first and only Super Bowl since Tom Brady and Bill Belichick’s respective exits.

A chance to expand their lead as the most successful franchise in NFL history is no short matter, and Vrabel will be focused on leading his team to the promised land.
