Hull City caretaker manager Mike Phelan has told the Liverpool Echo that Liverpool have a squad that is up there with the best in the Premier League.
The Reds have started this season on fire, picking up 13 points from their first six games and sitting fourth in the table.
They already have several impressive wins under their belts, notably beating Leicester City 4-1, Chelsea 2-1 and Arsenal 4-3.

Hull City were the latest to fall to defeat this weekend as they were comfortably beaten 5-1 by Jurgen Klopp’s team at Anfield.
Phelan was impressed by what he saw and says it will take a decent team to stop the Reds this season.
“It will take a decent team to beat them. But we’re only six games into the season,” he told the Liverpool Echo.
“They have a squad that’s really, really up there with the other top squads. But if you look at Liverpool and the likes of Man City and the other teams that will be challenging, it’s the games between them that will make the difference.”

After a busy summer transfer window, there is no denying that Jurgen Klopp has a quality squad at his disposal this season.
The only flaw is at left back, where James Milner is currently filling in after Jurgen Klopp dropped Alberto Moreno early in the campaign.
Finding a long-term solution for that position should now be top of their of priorities and if they can then this squad is certainly one that can challenge.
