The Celtic star has been in fine form in recent weeks.

Celtic ace Mikael Lustig spoke exclusively to the Daily Record, and offered high words of praise for his teammate Callum McGregor, suggesting that the 25-year-old is one of Brendan Rodgers’ most important players.
The Hoops began their 2018/19 campaign in mixed fashion, but they have recently shown signs that they are returning to somewhere near their best form.
McGregor’s fine recent form has helped his side pick up some vitally important results in recent weeks, yet he still remains one of Rodgers’ most under-rated players.
Lustig, however, is fully aware of the importance of the Scottish midfielder, and told the Daily Record how much he has developed under the guidance of Rodgers:

“Even when he was not in the team I’ve always said Cal was one of the most important players in the squad and now he’s in there and starting every game. He has proved how much he has developed under the gaffer. What’s his best role? He has four or five! That’s why I’ve said he is a really important guy to have. Players like that make the gaffer really happy.”
McGregor has chipped in with four goals and four assists in 27 appearances in all competitions for Celtic so far this term, and he will surely have a major role to play in his side’s push for major honours between now and the end of the season.
