Watford defender Miguel Britos has revealed just how to contain Zlatan Ibrahimovic, labelling the Manchester United forward ‘arrogant’ and someone who ‘doesn’t like to be touched’, according to the Daily Express.
Britos was on the winning side as the Hornets convincingly defeated the Red Devils 3-1 in the Premier League last weekend.
Ibrahimovic was particularly quiet throughout the game, as Watford overwhelmed their opponents with exceptional attacking play.
Uruguayan Britos, who has played against the mercurial Swede during his time in Italy, is familiar with the former Barcelona man, and his experience definitely contributed to Watford’s win.
Speaking to Uruguay radio station Sport890, Britos said: “It wasn’t the first time I played against him,” as quoted by the Daily Express.
“I did so when he was at Inter and AC Milan. We were able to control him, as well as Rooney.
“He’s a bit arrogant and gets annoyed easily. He really doesn’t like being touched.
“But he’s still a phenomenon. He’s a very complete player and a great.”
Britos’ comments should come as a big help to Premier League sides yet to face United, who have lost their last three games on the bounce.
