The Chronicle have suggested that Newcastle are very keen to snap up the Atlanta United playmaker.
And Almiron’s post on social media website Instagram has done little to quieten the rumours.
He re-posted a video from his girlfriend, which appeared to be posted on a plane, with the captain ‘next stop?’.
Almiron’s potential move to Newcastle has excited the St. James’ Park crowd, and Magpies fans were quick to pick up on his latest message.
Whether it has any relation to football remains to be seen, but Newcastle supporters are likely to hope that it does indicate that he’s on the move.
Almiron has been a star in MLS over the past few seasons, and would surely improve Newcastle’s attack for the second half of the campaign if he did arrive.
