Some Leeds United fans have been reacting after Joe Gelhardt’s debut for the England U20s side.
Conflicting reports emerged about Gelhard’s performance, with some outlets claiming that he netted a hat-trick, while others claimed he only got a brace, but regardless as to what the truth is, he was incredibly impressive.
It’s no surprise to see Gelhardt dominating at this level. After all, he’s leaps and bounds above most players his age in a physical sense.
Indeed, the striker is absolutely rapid and built like a rugby league player, so at that age group he’s bound to be a force.
However, some fans now feel as though he’s ready to make the step up to senior football, and after these prolonged incredible showings at youth level, we’re inclined to agree.
Whether or not Gelhardt gets his chance in Bielsa’s side in the coming weeks remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, fans believe the striker deserves a shot at shining on the big stage.
