Well, it looks like Liverpool might be losing one Premier League title winner before Monday’s transfer deadline, if news from Spain is accurate.
According to Estadio Deportivo, Reds goalkeeper Adrian is keen to quit the Anfield club this month.
The former West Ham stopper is nowhere near Jurgen Klopp’s senior squad any longer after the Liverpool boss demoted him and promoted Irishman Caoimhin Kelleher.
As a result, 34-year-old Adrian, whose contract on Merseyside expires in six months, is very open to the prospect of leaving the club.
And it has drawn a mixed reception from Liverpool fans.
There’s a lot of supporters who don’t particularly like Adrian due to his error-prone performances, particularly against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last year.
Then again, he did play 11 times in helping Klopp’s side to the Premier League title last season, meaning he has done his bit in that regard.
