Arsenal supporters are convinced that Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is going to have a stormer later this evening.

Arsenal are set to take on Villarreal in the Europa League in a matter of hours, as they gear up for their biggest game of the season.

Aubameyang was on press conference duty yesterday ahead of the game, which may hint that he will feature this evening.

And the Arsenal striker’s comments have excited supporters.

He said to Football London: “Yes definitely [I’m ready to start]. When it’s important like this of course. In my mind I feel more than 100%, physically maybe I’m not quite there. But I’m ready.

“Everyone was expecting me to score more goals, I know it. Maybe I feel a bit responsible for this situation we are in. We want to give something back. I want to lead for tomorrow.”

The words show a determination that Aubayemang has rarely spoken about publicly.

And many Arsenal supporters are convinced that their captain will deliver on the big stage tonight.

If Aubameyang does perform well then Arsenal’s chances of making it to the Europa League final will be greatly increased.

Arsenal know that they will have to score tonight to stand any chance of progressing, and Aubameyang looks their best hope of finding the back of the net – even if he hasn’t been at his prolific best this term.
