The Hoops signed the big centre-back on a season-long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion this past summer.
But midway through the campaign it’s clear that the Republic of Ireland has struggled in a big way to impose himself at Celtic, despite his Premier League experience.
With that in mind, it can be no surprise to hear that the Bhoys are said to be in the market for another central defender.
And according to Sky Sports News, Celtic are negotiating with Preston North End over bringing Ben Davies to Glasgow.
The Scottish Premiership champions will try and thrash out personal terms with the 25-year-old this week.
And suffice to say that some Celtic fans seem on board with the idea of bringing him to Parkhead.
