Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Mido has urged England manager Gareth Southgate to choose Spurs man Eric Dier over Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker against Sweden.

But Dier replaced Walker in the back three for the last seven minutes of extra time after coming on as a substitute, with Walker being replaced by Marcus Rashford in the 113th minute. Mido believes it is a change that should occur from the start.
England now face Sweden in the quarter finals after beating Colombia, who cancelled out Harry Kane’s penalty to score in the 93rd minute through Yerry Mina.
