Could Liverpool lose Mohamed Salah to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window?

Former Egypt international striker Mido has been quoted as saying by Kingfut.com that Real Madrid want to sign Mohamed Salah from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Mido, who played for Tottenham Hotspur and Middlesbrough among other clubs in England, has also admitted that he thought that his compatriot Salah would fail at Liverpool.

The 25-year-old Egypt international winger joined the Reds from Italian club AS Roma in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £34 million.

Kingfut.com quotes Mido as saying about Salah: “Real Madrid want him, and we have all seen the poor performances of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema with the 4-4-2.

“I was afraid that Salah might fail at Liverpool, but I think he is ready to jump to the next level. Real Madrid would be able to use his strengths.”

Should Liverpool fans worry?

Salah is one of the best players in Europe, and his performances for Liverpool this season have been truly magnificent.

One should not be surprised if Spanish and European giants Madrid do want the former Chelsea winger, but for now, Liverpool fans need not worry.

The Egypt international, who is currently valued at €164.1 million (£141.73m) by CIES Football Observatory, has not given any indication that he wants to leave Anfield anytime soon, and given how things are going at Liverpool at the moment, he may not be willing to switch to another club in the summer transfer window.
