Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been linked with Joao Palhinha, but it seems that the Fulham defensive midfielder wants to move to Bayern Munich, not to Anfield.

Liverpool are on the hunt for a new midfielder in the final days of the summer transfer window, and one of the players the Reds are reportedly looking at is Fulham star Joao Palhinha.

The Daily Mail reported this month that Liverpool want to sign Palhinha in the summer transfer window.

The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are reportedly looking for a new defensive midfielder and believe that the £50,000-a-week (Spotrac) star would be a good signing.

However, there is now a chance that Liverpool would not be able to get the 28-year-old Portugal international.

There is speculation now that Palhinha wants to join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has reported on Twitter that Bayern want to sign the 28-year-old, who himself is keen on a move to the Allianz Arena.

Plettenberg has claimed that personal terms would not be an issue for the Portugal international.

Bayern are one of the biggest clubs in the world and are a global brand.

Just like Liverpool.

And they also regularly win the Bundesliga title and compete for the UEFA Champions League.

We understand fully well why a move to Bayern would be so appealing to Palhinha.

If Liverpool are really keen on Palhinha, then they have to make a bid now and convince the player to move to Anfield.

Now.

Time is running out for Liverpool.

After all, the summer transfer window closes on Friday night.

Palhinha has made 37 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The Portuguese star has scored four goals in those games.
