Frank Lampard seemingly wants to knock on the door of his former club, Chelsea, to try and lure Conor Gallagher to Everton after a career-changing season at Crystal Palace for the player.

Chelsea have produced some top talents over the years, including their current thriving duo, Reece James and Mason Mount.

Well, Gallagher is no different and heading towards their direction, that’s why Everton want to add the all-action midfielder to their ranks this summer.

Given the way the Toffees ended the recently-concluded campaign, then he probably fits right into their setup and he won’t look out of place, in one aspect, anyway.

Under Frank Lampard, Everton picked up a staggering five red cards – he only joined in January, as the club tried to secure their Premier League safety.

Given the club’s struggles, they turned to alternative roots and tried to be extra aggressive in the face of opponents, which, in the end, worked a treat.

Well, whilst Gallagher didn’t pick up any red cards this season, he was carded on 12 occasions from his 39 games in all competitions.

As result, he also committed the most fouls in the Premier League this season (65), one more than Newcastle United’s Joelinton.

The nearest Everton player on the list was Abdoulaye Doucoure, who committed 39 fouls.

Nonetheless, given the season Gallagher had at Selhurst Park, which also saw him earn his first cap for England.

Then it would be a surprise if those at Chelsea don’t, at the very least, hand him a chance in pre-season ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

Thomas Tuchel’s squad is all over the place, with players leaving on free transfers and the new takeover from American businessman, Todd Boehly

Gallagher will be hoping that he is part of that because, if he’s not, then that would surely put Lampard on alert on Merseyside.
