The reported Aston Villa target moved to Burnley from Middlesbrough last summer.

Middlesbrough fans are reacting to reports the defender they sold to Burnley last summer could join their Championship rivals, Aston Villa.
According to Sky Sports, Aston Villa have made an offer to loan Ben Gibson with a view to a permanent transfer at the end of the campaign.
Gibson progressed through the ranks at local side Middlesbrough, where his uncle, Steve, is chairman.
But after Boro failed to gain promotion from last season’s Championship, the 26-year-old was sold to Burnley for a reported fee of £12 million [Sky Sports].

Whether or not Aston Villa’s alleged pursuit will be successful remains to be seen, although the following Boro fans are keen to get in on the action…
Gibson has only played five times for Burnley this season, although he can still register with a new club this month having failed to appear for Middlesbrough in 2018/19.
Boro (5th with 47) currently lead Aston Villa by five places and as points heading into the campaign’s final 18 fixtures.
