According to The Mirror (Transfer Live blog, 4:58pm, Friday, May 18, 2018), Middlesbrough striker Ashley Fletcher will be loaned out again next season, and this should be of interest to Leeds United head coach Paul Heckingbottom.
Back in April, GazetteLive reported that Leeds head coach Heckingbottom is a big fan of former West Ham striker Fletcher and would likely show interest if Middlesbrough are willing to loan out him this season.
With The Mirror (Transfer Live blog, 4:58pm, Friday, May 18, 2018) reporting that the 22-year-old will be loaned out next season and crediting (unnamed) Championship clubs with interest in the youngster, perhaps the Whites will make a move for him this summer.
Should Leeds United make move?
Fletcher is a talented young striker, but the former Manchester United prospect has struggled to do much of note in the Championship so far.
The former England Under-20 international could score just two goals in 1330 minutes of Championship football during the second half of the season on his loan spell at Sunderland.
The youngster will have to step up his game if he is to succeed at Leeds, who will be aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship next season.
