Sunderland travel to Riverside to face Middlesbrough in the bottom of the table clash on Wednesday.

To be played on Wednesday 26th April 2017 at 19:45. Venue: Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough

Odds: Middlesbrough 6/5, Draw 9/4, Sunderland 5/2

Sunderland, rock bottom in the Premier League, travel to Riverside to face Middlesbrough, one place above them, in a potential relegation six-pointer on Wednesday.

Boro are on a wretched run of form at the moment – they are without a win in their last 16 Premier League games. They have lost six of their last nine games in all competitions, and are really struggling to get points under their belt.

Steve Agnew’s side are heading into this match on the back of two successive defeats against Arsenal and Bournemouth.

Gaston Ramirez is suspended for this tie after he was sent off in the 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth. Adama Traore is expected to start in his place.

Sunderland need to win all their remaining games to pull themselves away from getting relegated. Their chances of survival are looking bleak but a strong performance and a positive result here will lift the gloom.

The Black Cats are without a win in their last eight games, losing six in the process. Moreover, their away record is very poor, having lost eight of their last nine matches away from home in the Premier League.

David Moyes is missing as many as five key players for this tie. Sebastian Larsson is suspended, while Moyes is without Paddy McNair, Duncan Watmore, Jan Kirchhoff and Bryan Oviedo for the trip to Riverside.
