Leeds are linked with Fran Merida.

Leeds United are interested in signing Spanish talent Fran Merida, according to The Mail.
Leeds have sent scouts to watch Merida in action for Osasuna in recent weeks, with the 27-year-old playing a key role for the club.
Merida was a player Middlesbrough came close to signing two years ago on a free transfer, but ultimately passed up the opportunity.

Karanka explained he was brought in as potential cover at the time, only for injuries to clear and Middlesbrough’s need to sign him was reduced.

This was before Middlesbrough appointed Leeds technical director Victor Orta, but the pair are close and both are evidently aware of Merida’s talent.
Middlebrough wanted Merida as a back-up player at the time, and the eventual snub has worked out in Merida’s favour.
He went on to sign with Huesca where he played regularly after a poor spell in Brazil, and signed with Osasuna a year ago.
Now the former Arsenal talent could get a second crack at English football
