- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
HITC sources have confirmed that Middlesbrough have made a bid for Manchester City prospect Micah Hamilton.
A number of Championship clubs have asked Manchester City about the 20-year-old attacking midfielder this summer and Middlesbrough have made their move by tabling a bid.
Middlesbrough have built up a very good relationship with City in previous seasons having landed the likes of Morgan Rogers and Terrell Agyemang from the Premier League champions.
They are now looking to return to Manchester and raid them for another young talent in the shape of Micah Hamilton.
Hamilton is currently with City on their pre-season tour of America, which rounded off on Saturday with a 4-2 win over Premier League rivals Chelsea.
Pep Guardiola’s side will now prepare for their upcoming Community Shield clash against Manchester United on Saturday.

Manchester City ready to sanction multiple deals
It has been a quiet transfer window for City in terms of incomings with the £30million deal for Savinho the only signing completed so far.
But – as usual – City have made good money from their academy products with Taylor Harwood-Bellis leaving for Southampton and Tommy Doyle joining Wolves on a permanent deal.
Hamilton could be the next academy star to leave City this summer if Middlesbrough’s bid is accepted.
HITC understands that Man City are in the process of sanctioning a number of deals. It is understood they have agreed a deal worth £1million for young midfielder Alex Robertson to join Cardiff City.
With their pre-season tour now coming to a close, a decision can now be made on Hamilton’s future.

The youngster received high praise from Guardiola after scoring against Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League on his debut last season.
“I am so happy for him,” Guardiola said. “He is training well and we saw his skills. He made a fantastic goal. Defensively he was aggressive.”
