Middlesbrough supporters want Swansea to give Garry Monk his old job back. It’s a complete U-turn on the situation when Swans vacancy came up when he was at Leeds last season.

Middlesbrough supporters have taken to Twitter to urge Swansea City to give Garry Monk his old job back.
Monk has struggled to win over fans on Teesside, and now their is a vacancy where his managerial career began.

The Swans have been hiring and firing managers frequently over the past two seasons, after struggling ever since the 2014/15 season when Monk led them to eight place.
He struggled the following campaign and was fired months later, followed by Francisco Guidolin, Bob Bradley, and Paul Clement.
Now with Middlesbrough behind their own lofty hopes in the Championship – sitting in 10th instead of inside the top two – fans are praying that Swansea are tempted to bring him back.
After his poor start to the season, Monk is unlikely to be on Swansea City’s radar.
This time last year, it was very different. When Bob Bradley was fired on December 28, Leeds fans took to Twitter to express their fears that Garry Monk would be a target.

Unlike Middlesbrough fans who want him out, Leeds supporters were desperate for him to stay.
Monk ended up quitting Leeds in the summer anyway, and drew the ire of fans when he took over at Boro, a move which has not worked out for anyone.
Perhaps if Monk just waited and stayed out of work, his stock would have risen, and Swansea would be begging to take him back right now.
