Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Danny Batth was the star of the show as Middlesbrough drew their latest Championship clash.

Middlesbrough fans must be wondering why Wolves loanee Danny Batth was only making his first league start of the season against Stoke on Saturday after his superb performance helped Tony Pulis’ side keep a clean sheet.
Boro missed the chance to head back to the top of the Championship as they could only secure a goalless draw away at the bet365 Stadium. The point did however, move them into the automatic-promotion spots.
While the visitors had more attempts on target, they were grateful to Batth, who marked his first Championship start in a Boro shirt with a fantastic display.
The 28-year-old made several clearances and blocks that ensured that the home side were not able to beat Darren Randolph and secure a win that would have taken them to within three points of the play-off spots.

Batth was named man of the match and it was clear on social media after the game that many Middlesbrough fans thought that was exactly the right decision.
Several of the supporters have implored Pulis to make the summer signing a regular starter in the team, while one fan even suggested that he would already like to see his side look to make Batth’s move from Wolves a permanent one.

Here is the best of the reaction to the centre-back’s performance…
