Sheffield United have again been credited with interest in the Middlesbrough striker.

Middlesbrough fans are reacting to reports linking Sheffield United with Britt Assombalonga.
According to the Northern Echo, Sheffield United are one of the clubs set to make a move for Assombalonga’s services.
And the newspaper claims Middlesbrough would have to consider offers – especially those north of the £15 million they paid for the striker two years ago – after failing to achieve promotion for the second season running.
Assombalonga has finished as Boro’s top scorer in each of those, but hasn’t always featured at the forefront of Tony Pulis’s plans.
And some of a Middlesbrough persuasion would be happy to see the 26-year-old depart, albeit under certain conditions.
Others, though, are backing Assombalonga…
Sheffield United finished runners-up in their second season back in the Championship, with strikers Billy Sharp (24 goals) and David McGoldrick (15) largely responsible for the Blades’ success.
However, with only the transfer-listed Leon Clarke and Ched Evans as alternatives, Chris Wilder is expected to target reinforcements in the summer transfer window.
